Restorative Pilates:

We are committed to exploring the key principles of Joseph Pilates in each workout: concentration, centering, control, breathing, precision and flowing movements. This class will take you through a series of postures focusing on improving core stabilization, optimizing postural alignment, strengthening key muscle groups while focusing on your breath. If you have never done Pilates and wish to learn its principles or if you want to begin your day with a restorative practice, come and experience the many benefits of this class.

Fusion Saturdays:

High intensity full body workout help focus on those hard to get to areas such as your abs, thighs and buns. In one hour we will go through an intense hour of cardio and strength training infused with Yoga, Pilates and Garuda. Please wear comfortable clothing. No experience required. This class is a good challenge for all fitness levels! Please call ahead to book your spot- 905-886-2673.

Ballroom & Latin Dance on Wheels:

An engaging and fun 8-week dance series designed to introduce social ballroom and Latin dance to individuals with ambulatory disabilities and their able-bodied partners. All ages are welcome: children, teens and adults.

If you can move your manual or power wheelchair in a controlled way, then you can dance! The classes are 1 hour in length, will cover the basic elements of partner dancing including leading and following, connection and rhythm. We will focus on Cha-Cha and Salsa over the course of the 8 weeks, with an emphasis on learning the basic patterns, turns and timing of the dances, feeling comfortable moving across the dance floor and having fun.

Among the benefits of partner dancing are increased coordination, strength, endurance, posture, range of motion, and confidence.

Join us to discover the physical, social and psychological benefits of partner dancing.

Neuro Fusion:

This innovate program is developed to progress your cardiovascular fitness and strength, challenge your balance and promote improved sensory awareness. The instructors will guide you through techniques to explore your posture alignment in various positions, implement simple breathing techniques and close with a relaxation component that will leave you feeling invigorated!

Please Note: For those who attend Physiotherapy or other forms of rehab, please note that the instructors will regularly collaborate with your therapist to compliment your therapy and help you reach your goals.

- Ambulating with or without a gait aid (cane, walking pole, walker)

Spinal Cord Stretch Class:

Using a wheelchair on a full-time basis can be tiring due to overuse of the upper body and loading of the shoulder, back and hips. This class will focus on optimizing the length of overused muscles, addressing muscular imbalances and restoring range and flexibility. Class will end with deep breathing and achieving optimal relaxation.
