Anne is a physiotherapist with a keen interest in neurological rehabilitation and women’s health. She is particularly passionate about pelvic health and increasing public awareness of various pelvic floor dysfunctions and their impact on daily living. Additionally, she is invested in research that explores individual experiences in transition of care from inpatient rehabilitation to community. Upon her graduation at the University of Toronto, she won the CBI Health Group Prize for Excellence in Student Research and the Breathe in Life Research Poster Award. In 2021, she won best poster in the annual Ontario Physical Therapy Association Conference and second place in the Ontario Association for Amputee Care Bi-Annual Conference.
Anne’s interest in working with neurological populations began during her tenure as a research assistant in the Aging, Mobility, and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab in Vancouver where she led an exercise training program to combat cognitive decline in adults who had sustained a stroke. Her experience working as an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer allowed her the opportunity to train healthy, clinical, and athletic populations. Anne applies her sport background in cross country, track, field lacrosse and training for both full and half marathons to help guide practice in working with various populations.
Her clinical experience ranges across the continuum of care, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and amputee rehabilitation, as well as oncology, complex continuing care, ventilatory and acute care.
She is a physiotherapist in good standing with the College of physiotherapists of Ontario. In addition, she is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Ontario Physiotherapy Association.
